All of the material on this website is copyrighted but it is freely available for your personal use. All of the images are also copyrighted, except for two pictues on the introduction page, the picture of the labyrinth and the graphic of the zeta function. The labyrinth is based on a drawing by Charles Peirce and I don't know who made the graphic of the zeta function.

If you wish to make use of any of the writings or my images for any commericial purpose (financial gain) you must obtain my written permission, obviously.

I follow many of the ideas of Lawrence Lessig for copyright on cyberspace, and also the same general principles of the open source software groups. I am not trying to get rich with my books (obviously ;), but I don't want to get ripped off either.

I will put copies of my books on Amazon at reasonable prices (far below the suggested $21.95 retail price) for those of you who are finanacially distressed in the hopes of building an affordable used book market. The purpose of this website is to find readers and not to make money. Thanks for your interest.

Please use any of the material here for your own purposes (that's why I put it here) but please give me credit when you quote my writings and don't pretend you wrote it yourself..

Thanks,

Jim Street
